[Help] Town Cat Keeps Leaving And Coming Back

So since I've had the town cat it keeps leaving every 10 minutes or so. The dog (in the house right next to it) is fine, but the cat keeps leaving no matter what house I move it to. Any help? Sorry about being vague, but that's literally it: it's in valid housing, I've tested in 4 different biomes, and I'm really sick of seeing that message pop up in my chat and having a different cat at home each time I return from mining.
(Edit: it's not dying either, I'm building so I turned off mob spawning so even if it could take damage while I'm away it can't)

It’s probably drowning in a lake (it couldn’t be enemies anyways because they only spawn near players)
Does "Town of Cats" actually exist?

I researched for "Town of cats" online but I either found 1q84 reviews where it got mentioned or "Cat Country" by Lao She, which has the same translation as "Town of Cats" in german, which was the language I read the book in. But I can't seem to find the right one.

The town of cats is a short story by hagiwara sakutaro. It's in an anthology I own called "the weird: a compendium of strange and dark stories"

It's the slowest day I can remember seeing here at Cat Town. Is it the rain? Does no one like cats anymore? Since they left me in charge today, come visit for free. Today only.

Looking to adopt and I waited for a days with no response. Should I just visit to OAS?

Top Comment: I got my kitty from OAS and I am a frequent Cat Town visitor. Love what they do, but when I saw that my girl had been in her cage at OAS for 2 months, it was a no brainer. The OAS process was so easy. I checked the website and pretty much knew who I wanted. They could tell we were seasoned cat owners and the whole meet and greet/adoption process barely took a couple hours. She was chipped, vaxed, and adopted out for about $75.

Sorry to post here, but I can’t find anywhere else to post about the game.
Is anyone playing it? With this new update I’ve lost my fruit trees 🫠 I had them all maxed out and because they decreased the slot number they deleted them. Has anyone had this problem?

Top Comment: I just got the game yesterday, and nothing seems to have changed today after I logged in. You may want to drop a line to Support -- they're usually pretty quick to address issues....
